Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product number: 6YQ50AA#ABA

Download history in HP Support Assistant has had a red exclamation point next to a download installed on 9/9/2021.  It stays there.  I don't know what it means or if it is a problem.

hi

If you are developing, do you have more information, like the version?

check

Realtek RTL8xxx Wireless LAN Drivers

2024.0.10.220 Rev.S13.0 MBDec 14, 2020Download

That said

don't bother with that, as long as everything works
it's just that at some point the driver may not have been installed correctly

Thank you for the response.

HP Support Assistant is Version: 9.12.43.0.

I am not having any problems that I know of.  I use ethernet connection and WIFI is off.  Just wanted to know if I should be concerned.  I will turn off ethernet and turn WIFI on and see what happens.

If it works as is, do you think I should try to download it again anyway?

Added later:

Forgot to include WIFI adapter version as well.  I was not sure which on you were asking about.  The driver with the red exclamation point seems an older version.

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter

Driver date 5/21/2021

Driver version 2024.0.10.223

if you don't use wifi, you don't have to bother with this!
the version offered by hp support, is more recent than that of the hp site, is that it?
so, what version does your computer currently have?
I'm asking, just in case, but if you want, don't bother with it, let it go
No need for an updated driver, if wifi is not used, and where if no particular problem

sorry, for the wait I was gone

I turned off ethernet and WIFI has been working fine.

The driver showing in the history of HP Support Assistant is a more recent driver than the one you had in your response.

And it is the driver installed on my computer per Device Manager.  So it was installed and is working.

I have been ignoring it and will continue to do so.  Just another thing that happens but causes no harm.

Thanks for your time.
