HP touchsmart 610 1230 uk
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just acquired . A HP 610 touchsmart 1230 uk. Restored to factory setting which is windows 7 64 bit. The Picture in Picture software seemed to work fine. Upgraded to windows 10 and now the software hangs so I can no longer use game mode. The remote control does not switch the video source as it did previously. Are there driver updates available to fix this ? Or do I have to restore back to windows 7 ?

Hi

Did you update, or complete installation?
there is nothing for windows 10, only a few for windows 8
So try the windows 8 updates, but it might not pass
do the tests, right click, install as administrator ..
Otherwise, try to search the net
but if nothing can be done, reverting to windows 7 will probably be the solution

I downloaded the driver for windows 8 64 bit and installed manually . It would not work with the ho assistant. However.
The Pip app after a reboot worked fine. Installed the other drivers and had a few mixed results. But essentially my issue was resolved given your advise.

so in summary

I restored the pc using the hp restore and restored back to factory settings. Then installed windows 10 via an upgrade, pls note not a fresh install.

manually installed the Picture in Picture app. Using manual option . Rebooted . Launched . Working now fine thanks .
