OMEN by HP Obelisk - 875-1016nf
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi i just bought a ram kit corsair vengeance rgb pro 16gb (2 x 8GB)2666 MHz CAS 16 in order to had some power to my PC.

But when I launch my PC (OMEN by HP Obelisk - 875-1016nf) I see that the speed of the RAM is only 2133 MHz.

So, has this ram kit is compatible with XMP, I tried to find in my BIOS something to activate it but i couldn't find.

Here's a picture of my BIOS informations (in french) : 20211212_150840.jpg

You added two sticks to bring the total up to 32gb.  The problem is that the i7-9700k has slowed down as there are now two devices in each channel

I think you are now limited to "overclocking" which is what the XMP does (I am guessing)

Possibly if XMP is in your BIOS it is locked out to prevent overclocking.

Intel has an overclocking app, not sure if it does memory

Thanks for you awnser.

I tried to overlock my ram with intel extreme tuning utility but now I can't start my PC I get 3 long beep and 2 short beep.

I've manage to fix it but my orginal problem is still not solved 😞

For me, better not to tempt the devil
If you have added two modules to upgrade to 32gb, they may not be fully compatible, and again sometimes it's just a problem of understanding

So you have a choice, leave it like that, you have 32gb, but a little less speed, it may not be noticeable
Use 4 identical modules, with the risk that it will not be better
Or insist, with the modifications but the risk of breaking everything for not much in the end!
