I have a serial number - [Personal Information Removed]- but do not know how to find the year from that.

Also, is there a way to find out when apps were first installed on my computer?

Thank you

Start date:
February 20, 2019

End date:
April 19, 2020

Your warranty started February 20, 2019 which is usually the date shipped to the end user or the sales date if from a 3erd party vendor.

If you have not reset the system then you can find installation dates of applications using the "add or remove programs" applications.  That can be misleading as the manufacturer clones the drive from a master during assembly of the product.  Another way to tell how old is to find the bios version.  If your bios is F03 then the board was assembled no earlier than Apr 19, 2018 and no later then Aug 13, 2018 when the F13 bios was released.  I am no privy to HP manufacturing so this is just my opinion.

Some motherboards are marked with an assembly date.
