Hi @saxahoya

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for bringing this up—it can be frustrating when taskbar icons seem to vanish. Let’s gently walk through a few steps to help those icons reappear on your HP OmniDesk running Windows:

1. Check Hidden Icons

  • Click the up arrow on the right side of the taskbar (near the clock).
  • If your icons are there, you can drag them back to the visible area.

2. Restart Windows Explorer

This refreshes the taskbar without restarting your PC:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Scroll down to Windows Explorer, right-click it, and choose Restart.
  • Wait a few seconds for the taskbar to reload.

3. Adjust Taskbar Settings

  • Right-click an empty area on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
  • Scroll to Notification area > click Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
  • Toggle Always show all icons in the notification area to On.

4. Check Display Settings

Sometimes scaling or multiple displays can affect icon visibility:

  • Right-click the desktop and choose Display settings.
  • Ensure scaling is set to 100% or 125%, and that the correct monitor is set as Main display.

If you'd like, I can also guide you through HP’s support page for your OmniDesk model to check for any display-related utilities or updates. Just let me know your exact model number (e.g., HP OmniDesk 24-xxxx).

Thanks for confirming your HP OmniDesk model—M02-0xxx. That helps narrow things down. Since you're on Windows 11 and taskbar icons are invisible, let’s walk through a few deeper steps to restore them:

1. Force Taskbar Refresh via Registry-Free Method

No registry edits—just a clean refresh:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Scroll to Windows Explorer, right-click, and choose Restart.
  • Wait for the taskbar to reload. This often restores missing icons.

2. Check Taskbar Overflow Settings

Windows 11 uses a new overflow system:

  • Right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
  • Scroll to Taskbar corner overflow.
  • Toggle On for any apps you want visible (e.g., Bluetooth, Volume, Network).

3. Verify App Visibility in Notification Area

  • Go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Other system tray icons.
  • Toggle Always show all icons in the notification area to On.

4. Check for Display Scaling Conflicts

  • Right-click desktop > Display settings.
  • Set Scale to 100% or 125%.
  • Confirm your main monitor is selected under Multiple displays.

5. Run System File Checker

Corrupted system files can block icon rendering:

  • Press Windows + X, select Terminal (Admin).
  • Type: sfc /scannow and press Enter.
  • Wait for the scan to complete and restart your PC.

Let me know if the icons reappear after these steps. If not, I can guide you through creating a new user profile or checking for shell extension conflicts. You're doing everything right—this should bring your taskbar back to life.
