@Mo01112, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

If you're having trouble switching users on your HP Envy laptop, here are a few ways to do it:

Method 1: Using the Start Menu

  1. Click the Start button (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner.
  2. Click your user profile icon.
  3. Select "Sign out" or "Switch user" (if available).
  4. On the login screen, choose the other user account you'd like to switch to.

Method 2: Using Ctrl + Alt + Delete

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard.
  2. Click "Switch user".
  3. Select the user account you want to switch to.

Method 3: Using Windows + L

  1. Press Windows key + L to lock your screen.
  2. On the lock screen, click on the desired user account.

If “Switch User” Option Is Missing

Sometimes, the option might be disabled due to system settings. Here's how to enable it:

  1. Press Windows + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Navigate to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon
  3. Double-click “Hide entry points for Fast User Switching”.
  4. Set it to Disabled or Not Configured, then click OK.
