Hi @JuliusAde,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share the model name of your device?
Meanwhile, you can try these steps.

1. Check Camera Selection in the App

Open the application you want to use the camera with (ZI hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards, oom, Teams, Camera app, etc.).

Look for a camera selection dropdown (usually near the video preview).

Select the front camera from the list instead of the keyboard or secondary camera.

2. Verify Camera in Windows Settings

Press Windows + I → Privacy & Security → Camera.

Ensure camera access is turned on.

Scroll down to “Let apps access your camera” and ensure the app you are using has permission.

Check if multiple cameras are listed and select the front camera as the default for your app.

3. Disable Secondary Camera Temporarily

Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Cameras.

Identify the keyboard/secondary camera, right-click it → Disable device.

This forces Windows to use the front camera when an app requests video input.

4. Update Camera Drivers

In Device Manager → Cameras → Right-click each camera → Update driver → Search automatically.

Make sure the front camera driver is up to date.

Restart the laptop after updates.

5. Test the Camera

Open the Windows Camera app.

Verify that the front camera is active and showing your preview.

Switch between cameras in the app to confirm which one is currently in use.

6. Check for App-Specific Settings

Some apps remember the last camera used.

If the app keeps defaulting to the keyboard camera, go to Settings → Video → Camera, and manually select the front camera.

Save settings and restart the app.

I hope this helps.
