Hi @PattyKusnir,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you want to connect your wireless keyboard and mouse to your computer. Let’s go through a few steps to set this up.

a. Check the Type of Wireless Connection

Most wireless keyboards and mice connect via USB dongle (receiver) or Bluetooth.

Make sure you know which type your devices use.

b. USB Receiver (Dongle) Connection

Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.

Turn on your keyboard and mouse (switches are usually on the bottom or side).

Wait a few seconds; Windows should automatically detect the devices.

Test the keyboard and mouse to confirm they are working.

c. Bluetooth Connection

Turn on your keyboard and mouse.

On your PC, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.

Turn Bluetooth ON.

Click Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth.

Select your keyboard and mouse from the list and follow any on-screen pairing instructions.

Test both devices to confirm connectivity.

d. Install Drivers / Software

Some keyboards or mice come with optional software for extra features.

Check the manufacturer’s website to download the latest drivers if needed.

e. Troubleshooting

Replace batteries if the devices don’t power on.

Try a different USB port if the receiver is not recognized.

Restart the PC if devices are not detected after initial setup.

I hope this helps.
