I'm trying to get Homebrew on my 3ds, and for that I have to move files on its sd card. I see no slot to put it in, how do I insert it?

The specs of your machine is:

It has a card reader at the right side

That is for standard SD (size) cards. As you say you have micro-SD card therefore you need an adapter a shown:

 

    microSD.png

 

I don't know they sell adapters alone or not but many vendors sell microSD cards with Adapter included. You can buy one and  use it for many; for example
