Im sorry if this is in the wrong board. Please re-route as needed.
I just bought a HP 524SH monitor. It has the following features:
HP Eye Ease with Eyesafe Certification - Help keep your eyes comfortable with an always-on, true-color, low-blue light filter. Anti-glare, Low blue light, Flicker free.
How do turn off the low-blue light filter and have the normal brightness and color? The screen has a yellow tint to it that I would like to disable and can not find the setting either through the monitor or in the HP Display Center.
Thank you!

Hi @The_Goat1
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To disable the low-blue light filter (HP Eye Ease) on your HP 524SH monitor, you typically need to adjust the monitor's settings directly. If you're seeing a yellowish tint from the blue light reduction, here's how you can turn it off or adjust it to a more natural setting:
1. Using the Monitor's On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu:
- Press the OSD Menu Button on your HP 524SH monitor. This button is typically located on the bottom-right or the front of the monitor (depending on the model).
- Navigate through the menu options. Look for a setting called something like "Eye Ease," "Low Blue Light," "Blue Light," or "Color Temperature."
- Once you find it, turn it off or adjust the level of the filter to your preference. In some cases, you may find presets like "Normal," "Warm," or "Cool", which can be used to adjust the color temperature.
2. Using HP Display Center (if available):
- If you have the HP Display Center software installed, open it on your computer.
- In the software, look for settings related to Eye Ease, Low Blue Light, or Color Adjustment.
- Disable or reduce the strength of the low blue light filter to restore the natural color of the screen.
3. Adjusting Color Settings in the Operating System (if needed):
If you cannot find an option to turn off the low blue light filter in the monitor menu or the HP Display Center, you can also adjust color settings via your computer's display settings.
For Windows 10/11:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Display Settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced display settings.
- Under Color Calibration (if available), you can adjust the color temperature or gamma settings.
For macOS:
- Open System Preferences, then go to Displays.
- Under the Color tab, you can try different profiles and adjust the display settings if the color appears too warm (yellowish).
4. Using Night Light Settings (Windows):
- Windows has a Night Light feature that can also affect the screen's color temperature.
- Go to Settings → System → Display → and turn off Night Light if it's enabled.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
