How do I enable installed MS Office Pro 2019 software on a new PC?

Clicking Activate button opens a license agreement to purchase an Office 365 subscription.

How do you know your PC came with Office 2019 -- because MS has stopped allowing OEMs to install that and now insists on them installing Office 365.

Besides, the preinstalled MS Office version is a trial version.

If you bought this directly from HP a know you included Office 2019 with the order, then you have to contact HP Customer Support directly as we can do nothing about that from here.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you did not purchase this directly from HP, then you have to contact the seller and deal directly with them about this, as we have no control over resellers.

Good question. I do not know that Office Pro 2019 was installed. I am believing it was installed because it is listed on the packing list, along with the hard drive, keyboard, etc. I did purchase the MS Office software from HP. And clicking the Word icon on the Start menu launches Word, but then the activation indicates it is for an Office 365 subscription, which I do not want.

I did phone HP Support over the weekend and again on Monday. After a long time, I did find the product ID being asked for.

After receiving email details, Office Pro 2019 has been installed. Usually when a vendor provides the Microsoft software, a product key is included, but that did not occur until after multiple phone calls.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble -- but glad to see you got it sorted.
