I have a document that I downloaded from a government site that I need to print and I need to have a time and date stamp appear on the document. How can I insert the time and date on the document from the print screen?

Ideas...

If you have Adobe Acrobat tools to add text to the PDF document, use that.

OR

If it is "enough" that the header / footer information be included above / below the form (and it is acceptable to force the form to fit on paper with header / footer), Open the document in your browser and print -- add the header / footer.

Example - Firefox - Sample print setup - header / footer

OR

If you are willing to add the date manually onto the scanned content

AND

If the form can be scanned (not all government forms allow scanning)

AND

the results allow that you add data to the form -

Scan and add text to the page(s) of the form

Open HP Smart

Scan > Scan Documents

Set up the main scan menu including Source and Preset (Document)

Scan the page(s)

If using Detect Edges, click "Full" to capture the entire page > Apply

Click to Edit (three horizontal dots in upper right corner of scanned page)

In the right column, select the Edit option for Text

Select your pen color, font size, and alignment...

Adjust the size and location of the text box --

Double click on text to open the box for adding / editing the text content

Place your cursor in front of "Write something" and enter your text.

Click "Yes" to finish the text box

Example - HP Smart - Scan - PDF -  Edit Set > Text
