How to obtain support if device is out of warranty

How can I contact Hp support agents to get assistance for a forgotten system password. I was told the community can not offer answers to these questions and would need to contact Hp support. When I try to contact support all it says is my device is out of warranty. How can I speak with a agent to get help with resetting or recovering my PC if I have forgot the system password. I registered this device back when I purchased so can verify it belongs to me.
