Hi @Andymass,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To open a zip file on your HP desktop and find the .exe file for Windows, you can follow these steps.

Locate the Zip File:

  • Find the zip file that you downloaded. It is likely in your Downloads folder or wherever you chose to save it.

Extract the Zip File:

  • Right-click on the zip file.
  • Select "Extract All" from the context menu.
  • Choose a destination where you want the extracted files to be placed.
  • Click "Extract."

Navigate to Extracted Files:

  • Open the folder where you extracted the files.

Look for the .exe File:

  • Inside the extracted folder, look for the .exe file. It is often the main executable file to run the application.

Run the .exe File:

  • Double-click on the .exe file to run the application.

If you encounter any issues related to Microsoft preventing the application from running, you may need to check your system's security settings or antivirus software to ensure that the TurboTax application is allowed to run. Additionally, make sure that your system is up-to-date with the latest Windows updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
