Hi @NeoGeppetto,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reinstall the audio device driver on your HP Pavilion HPE H8-1220 Desktop PC, you can follow these steps.
- Open your web browser and go to the official HP support website.
- Navigate to the "Support" or "Drivers" section of the website.
- Enter the model number of your desktop PC (H8-1220) in the search box and press Enter.
- Select the appropriate operating system from the list provided.
- Look for the audio driver or sound driver in the list of available drivers. It is usually categorized under "Audio" or "Sound."
- Download the latest version of the audio driver compatible with your operating system by clicking on the download link.
- Once the driver file is downloaded, locate it on your computer and double-click to start the installation process.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver. You may need to agree to the terms and conditions and choose the installation location.
- After the installation is complete, restart your computer to apply the changes.
Once your computer restarts, the audio driver should be reinstalled and functional. You can check the sound settings to ensure that the audio device is recognized and working properly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
