My laptop came with MS Office pre installed. When I tried to open any app like Word, Excel or PowerPoint, it showed an error. So I decided to uninstall Office . But, I had not activated Office before uninstalling it. Now I can't reinstall it as it asks for a subscription. Is there any way I can reinstall the pre-installed version of Office again on my laptop?

HP provides a custom version of MS Office preloaded when you order that with a new PC. But if you replace the drive, reformat the drive, or install a non-HP-OEM version of Windows, that will vanish and most likely, you will NOT be able to get it back.
One reason is that while HP does supply Recovery Media for some PCs and a Cloud tool to make Recovery Media for other PCs, that media does not include add-ons like MS Office.
A second reason is that the built-in factory reset function uses an HP OEM Windows image file already loaded onto the PC, but like the Recovery Media, is does not include add-ons like MS Office.
A third reason is that HP does not provide separate downloads for their preloaded add-ons. So there is nowhere you can go on the HP site to download and install this onto your PC.
If you purchased Office included with your HP PC and are really desperate to get it back, then you will have to contact HP Customer Support directly because we here can not assist you in that recovery.
