Slim 290-P0014, running ubuntu.  I'm getting  'CMOS checksum is invalid' at boot, so I'm trying to update the BIOS.   I've downloaded the latest bios, but there appears to be no way to update the bios without Windows.   The easy way would be to update from local media (which is how I update the bios on my Dell), but that option does not show up.   I've read many threads on this issue, most fairly old and there seems to be different solutions for each computer, none of them seem like they would work for me.

I'm looking for suggestions.
