Hp support Solutions Framework will not install. I have a brand new HP laptop 15-fd1xxx, product # AN0P9UA, with windows 11. I tried downloading the HP Support Assistant for PC and got the error message that I needed to install the legacy version of that software and that it is located on the same web page as the main program. Well, first, why do I need a legacy software for a brand new computer, and second, the legacy version IS NOT located on the web page where I was directed. It seems every bit of software I try to install from HP is failing. Please help you are able. Thanks!

The legacy version won't install because your new computer cannot support the old version of the HP Support Assistant.

No, I cannot explain what is wrong and why it has tangled itself into a knot.

No, I cannot fix it if the proper version refuses to install.

If not done

One thing you might try is to first make sure all your Windows Updates are installed.

On a brand new system, it might take more than one time checking and then installing Updates.

If anything "Support Assistant" managed to install, remove / uninstall it from Settings > Apps > Installed Apps

Start over...

Category Software and Drivers - Operating System / version  set to Windows 11

Brand new system comes with a limited "setup" help feature from HP Support.
"Limited" means contact HP Support closer to two weeks after purchase and two months.

Thank You, Dragon-Fur for the response. Just for clarity, I did not attempt an install of the Legacy version because it does not exist on the page as instructed by HP. Why the current version would not install is, as you said , not explainable. I will, in the next days, start over as you suggested and see where that takes me. Thanks Again. Rick
