Hi @janehop

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Drivers that are not compatible with Windows 11 might prevent certain security features, such as Memory Integrity, from being enabled. Memory Integrity is a feature that helps protect your system from attacks by preventing malicious code from being injected into high-security processes.

If your HP Pavilion Desktop is having issues with the HpPortlox64.sys driver, here are steps you can take:

Update the Driver

  1. Check for Driver Updates: Ensure that all drivers are up-to-date. You can check for updates through Windows Update or HP Support Assistant.
  2. HP Customer Support: Visit the HP Support website to look for updated drivers specific to your model. You may find a compatible version that works with Windows 11.

Use Windows Device Manager

  1. Open Device Manager: Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Locate the Device: Find the associated device that uses the HpPortlox64.sys driver.
  3. Update Driver: Right-click on the device and select Update driver, then choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Disable Incompatible Drivers Temporarily

If no updates are available and the driver cannot be updated:

  1. Open Device Manager: Locate the device using the problematic driver.
  2. Disable the Driver: Right-click on the device and select Disable device. This may allow you to enable Memory Integrity but could affect device functionality.

Let me know how far you get with these steps. You're doing the right thing by tackling this proactively.
