I'm running the Windows Mail that came with my HP desktop. There are not a lot of settings and options like I'm used to in Outlook. When the emails display individually on the right side of my screen and I move the cursor over them, the hyperlinks display as big boxes of code sometimes covering most of the email. Lets say I get an email from Harbor Freight displaying all the sales for the week. I move the cursor over (lets say) the band saw, and a big gray box full of code appears. This is very annoying and I can't seem to find a way to turn it off.

@CaptainBill123 A picture representation of the same would help understand the issue better and an accurate resolution to resolve the issue could be provided, that said, please try the below steps and let me know if this works:
Please follow below steps to insert normal hyperlinks or hyperlink codes in composing emails in Outlook.
1. Click Home > New Email to create a new email.
2. In the opening Message window, please click File > Options.
3. In the Outlook Options dialog box, please click Mail in the left bar, and then click the Editor Options button in the Compose messages section.
See screenshot:
4. Now you get into the Editor Options dialog box. Please (1) click Advanced in the left bar, (2) check the Show field codes instead of their values option in the Display e-mail content section; and then (3) select Always from the Field shading drop down list.
See screenshot:
Note: For inserting normal hyperlinks instead of hyperlink codes, please uncheck the Show field codes instead of their values option.
5. Click OK buttons successively to close both dialog boxes, and then close the new email without saving.
From now on, all hyperlinks will be inserted as hyperlink codes (or normal hyperlinks) as you configured in Outlook Options.
