Perhaps you can explain a little better as what you have tried and the results.
"I tried everything 2nd monitor only mimics 1st one." does not really say much.

I am running windows10, The second monitor only shows what I have in the first monitor.
When i try to detect 2nd monitor , the system indicates non found. I have an adapter VGA.
both monitors are operating correctly but to no avail can i get the system to detect the
2nd monitor. I tried upgrading the drivers, but to no avail.??

If I understand the situation, both monitors are connected with VGA connections and both display the same image but Windows is only showing that one monitor is connected? How are the two monitors connected via VGA? Does the computer have two VGA ports or are you using a splitter?
