The Office Jet is running attached to a fairly new Dell XPS9700.  I was on support assist with them for 2 hours.  Did everything from uninstall and reinstall the printer to running a Microsoft Office 365 back up and restore.  Pretty much did everything I would think you could check. Dell's support recommended contacting Microsoft.  That's pretty much a lesson in futility these days and thought I might have better luck with HP. The printer "prints" everything else from this desktop as well as everything else including Outlook email from other computers in the household.  Not sure when the problem started because I typically don't do much printing from this computer as I'm at work most of the day. Only noticed it when I tried to print today.  Any assistance would be welcome and wonderful.

Thank you

Welcome to the HP User Community.

IF this is your "work computer", make sure the Windows is not controlling which printer is the default.

True - Windows should not be overriding your correctly selected Printer in your Outlook print window - just something to check...

Preparation > Check / enable the printer as the “Default Printer”

Settings > Devices > Printers and scanners

UNCHECK (clear box) Let Windows manage my default printer

Select (Left-Click) your printer from the list of printers > Manage > Set as Default

What else?

Open Outlook > Open the email with a double-click

File > Print

Check / Adjust the Print Options

Check / Select just the first page - see if that makes any difference to what the setup believes is happening...

Check (though unlikely the issue) is the font used in Page Setup

If all else fails, try saving the email content to an HTML file format

Open the HTML file and print that.

NOTE:  The following example assumes the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software is installed.
