My computer worked fine yesterday. Today I started it up and it showed the windows start up and everything seemed normal. When it was done all that was there was a black screen with the cursor, which I am able to move.
I have tried restarting it, and the same problem happens.
I tried running it in safe mode and using the built in repair and it said that it could not access a file crucial to windows (I don't know which one). I tried it again and it doesn't work, all it says is that the repair tool is offline.
I tried restoring it to older configurations ( one from 4/20/19 and two from 4/16/19) which at both dates the computer worked fine. All three had errors saying they couldn't retrieve a file all three stating different files.
I checked the BIOS and it says there is no problem connecting to the hard drive.
When I try to restart it it promts a disc check and when I let it proceed it says It can't access the disk and then it continues to the black screen.
This is the first time anything like this has happened.
