Hi @J3891, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Sure, I can help you with that! Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 involves a few steps. Here's a simple guide to get you started:

Step-by-Step Guide to Upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10

Back Up Your Data: Before you begin, make sure to back up all your important files to an external hard drive or cloud storage. This ensures you won't lose any data if something goes wrong.

Check System Requirements: Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 10:

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC
  • RAM: 1 GB for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit
  • Hard Disk Space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS or 20 GB for 64-bit OS
  • Graphics Card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
  • Display: 800 x 600

Download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool:

  • Visit the Microsoft website and download the Media Creation Tool.

Run the Media Creation Tool:

  • Open the downloaded tool and select "Upgrade this PC now."
  • Follow the on-screen instructions. The tool will download Windows 10 and guide you through the installation process.

Choose What to Keep:

  • During the installation, you'll be asked if you want to keep your personal files and apps. Choose this option to avoid losing your data.

Complete the Installation:

  • The installation process may take some time and your computer will restart several times. Make sure your PC stays plugged in and connected to the internet.

Set Up Windows 10:

  • Once the installation is complete, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your preferences, such as privacy settings and Wi-Fi connections.

After completing these steps, your computer should be running Windows 10 with all your files and apps intact.
