IDP.ALEXA.53 infected files while downloading HP Assistant on my computer

I just put in a new hard drive yesterday.  Today I went to HP's site through my dashboard online  to download the HP Assistant and as the files are installing my AVG is popping up numerous files saying infected file move to quarantine.

Here are the messages and files:

This is a fresh hard drive, I haven't downloaded much on it at this point except World of Warcraft through my battle net on my desktop.  Is this a false positive?  Does HP have a virus issue with their software from their site?  Anyone know?

IS it AVG antivirus reporting this?  There are complaints on the Internet about AVG having really old AV database, from 2017, and thus reporting this as a false positive.

But then, others are reporting this as true ransomware that was coupled with installing lots of different software, including games.

It did not come with the HP stuff -- if was there already and AVG simply found it, or claimed to.
