Product: HP Pavilion AiO PC 27-ca2000i (6L7D8AV)

I recently purchased a new HP Pavilion PC after my previous PC crashed. I was able to save everything from my hard drive; however, some of my songs (a lot!) on ITunes were missing. I contacted Apple, no help. It appears to me that ITunes won't import the songs I transferred from CD's. I can see all of the songs on my IPOD but not on my IPAD mini. I know the songs are there but they will not import back into ITunes. Anybody know what's causing this (probably Apple) and how I can get back all of the songs (note, after uploading the songs from CD, I got rid of the CD).
