Hello, how can I recover the system image of the panel PC on an HP SD PRO scanner? I accidentally entered recovery mode and clicked on "update system," which gave an error, and now it only boots into recovery mode (within Windows).

The HPPD 1.0.3 is the factory recovery image.    Your accidental upgrade failed so you need to install the back up image for HPPD 1.0.3.   1.0.3 is a very old version and it  should be upgraded to the newest after you recover.   On the HP download page HP7151 1.9.3 wont work as its for windows 7 controllers.    HPzz 2.11.1 wont work as its for SD Pro 2's (even thought its on the SD pro page).    You need HPPD 1.5.2 and i can't find anywhere to down load it (I have the file).      That is the most stable.     From 1.0.3 i could not go straight to 1.5.2.   I had to go from 1.0.3 to 1.26 then to 1.5.2.  There are also 1.61 and 1.7.2 but they were pulled for stability reasons.

Once you get 1.0.3 reloaded  from your back up image (It should always be a choice in the recovery menu or use the highest version in the choices.).   On a USB key you put  your 1.2.6 or 1.5.2 and put the key into the the port on side of touch screen.   Go to Setup,  3 lines (top right), system, advanced and update software.   It will reboot into recovery mode.  One of the 3 lines should start with usb and version number.  selecting that will upgrade to that newer version.    I am questioning HP now so they might get there downloads sorted out in short order but if you need HPPD 1.2.6 or 1.5.2 i might be able to upload.  They are 4G+ each

Could you upload them please? Thank you for your reply.

I talked to HP about there issues on the download pages and thought they would have been able to fix but have still not done so yet.

I would call Edited for HP tech help and they can upload them

1.5.2 is 6Gigs and none of the free upload sites will take it  and i don't have winrar or winzip to break the file into smaller pieces
