Hi, I recently bought my HP OMEN 40L desktop about a month ago from Best Buy. Everything has been running smoothly for a while until I randomely started getting lagspikes. This could happen in any application, including just the desktop (the desktop lag is rare). Before you ask, I had updated windows 11, installed new graphics drivers, and restarted my pc constantly. My specs are;
Ryzen 5 7600 6 core 12 threads
Nvida Geforce RTX 4060
16gb ram
1tb SSD
Windows 11
I also have done one of the windows built in RAM tests and nothing happened. A virus scan with windows defender resulted in nothing. Any help? Should i upgrade ram? Change cpus? Reinstall windows?
PS, Many of these posts include the AMD drivers for the integrated graphics and whatnot causes some lag, Should I uninstall them?

Lag spikes are quite common and are usually related to a network app.
There is a discussion here and the Microsoft MVP'er has a list of suggestions
I had a problem like this on another OEM system and traced it down to the temperature monitoring and control system. It was querying the temperature too often so I disabled it.
Could be a network app trying to phone home and retrying when there was no response. Look in the windows event viewer under system and apps for timeouts.
