Regarding the download/installation of the IRST Raid driver from HP. It came as an application file, sp111154. I don't have an extract option on the right-click menu, but I can compress it to the options below. Thanks for any additional detailed instructions.

You shouldn't need the IRST driver to install Windows on your PC.

You only need that for PC's with Intel 11th gen core and newer processors, so something else is wrong.

Also, you are using the wrong driver file.

You need to use sp111155.

17.9.1.1009

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111155.exe

To extract the exe file into its driver folder, use the free 7-Zip file utility from the link below, first link for 64 bit.

7-Zip

Install 7-Zip.

After 7-Zip has been installed, right click on the sp111155.exe file.

Select 7-Zip from the list of options on the menu.

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the file into its folder name.

Now you will be able to see the driver files in the folder.

Thank you, I was able to install it. When I went to boot from the media creation tool USB for W11, it still wanted a driver which I posted about in another thread. I used the VMD driver folder on the Intel download and also tried the HP driver files folder and it went to the next step of options to repair or recover, etc. I'm hoping this is working. Now I'm headed to replace the drive. Thanks again.
