I need to activate Intel AMT on my HP Z2 Mini G9 Workstation for remote control. Originally the workstation had the BIOS at version 01.04.00, and Intel AMT was working properly, once I upgraded the BIOS to version 02.01.02 it stopped working. The BIOS does not allow a rollback to version 01.04.00.
Is there any way to fix this problem on the updated BIOS version? Is it a particular setting that I can disable to block this functionality? Does it need, conversely, some option that could make it usable? Or alternatively, is there any way to force a BIOS rollback?

Hi @MartaB3,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the Intel AMT feature is not working on your HP Z2 Mini G9 after updating the BIOS, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Make sure that the Intel AMT feature is enabled in the BIOS. To do this, restart your computer and press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup. Look for a setting related to Intel AMT and make sure it is enabled.
- Check to see if there is a firmware update available for the Intel Management Engine (ME) on your computer. The ME is responsible for managing Intel AMT and updating it could potentially fix the issue. You can download the latest firmware from the HP support website.
- Try resetting the Intel AMT configuration. To do this, restart your computer and press the Ctrl-P key when prompted to enter the Intel AMT configuration. From there, choose the option to reset the configuration to defaults.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello Alden4,
I made sure that the function is enabled, then I downloaded the updated firmware version for the Intel ME. After that, I also tried resetting the configuration of first Intel AMT and then BIOS, but the problem persists.
Do you have any other tips to solve it?
Have a great day,
Marta
