Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i wanted to change the brightness without reaching the buttons on the monitor, either by hotkeys or app.
i downloaded hp display center and, at least via app, i can now change brightness. but i can't use the hotkeys when the app is running in background or via OS in action center (yes, i updated the drivers by the website).
i'd like mainly to know if it's possible to use hotkeys when the app is "closed", but also an answer on how to let Windows10 manage brightness would be appreciated.

@carrot_ -- is this your display: HP X24ih FHD Gaming Monitor

On that page, I see:

Software • OMEN Command Center

On screen display

• Monitor control buttons: Gaming, Color, Image, Input, Power, Menu, Management, Information, Exit
• User assignable function buttons: 3

Is that the software that you are using to control the brightness?

Maybe, the Omen software will help. Try it.

Have the same issue. I don't want to be demanding, but I also really don't want to download a whole gaming hub for something that feels so basic, and that does have a simple windows interface in other cases via normal windows power and brightness settings =/. Is our only other option to wait for a new driver update? (if that's even an update they have planned?)
