@Jaylen2009,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

OK, in order to connect your PS4 to your HP All-in-One Desktop Model 20-c023w, here’s what you need to know:

Key Point: The HP 20-c023w does not have an HDMI input.

This means the screen cannot directly display video from an external device like a PS4. However, there are workarounds.

Workaround Options:

Option 1: Use a Capture Card

  1. Buy a USB HDMI Capture Card:
    • Choose a reliable HDMI capture device (e.g., Elgato, AVerMedia, or budget options).
  2. Connect the PS4 to the Capture Card:
    • Plug the PS4's HDMI output into the capture card’s HDMI input.
  3. Plug the Capture Card into the Desktop:
    • Connect the capture card to the desktop via USB.
  4. Run the Capture Software:
    • Open the software provided with the capture card on the desktop to view and play PS4 content.

Option 2: Use Remote Play (Recommended for Simplicity)

  1. Download PlayStation Remote Play on the Desktop:
  2. Set Up the PS4:
    • Ensure the PS4 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the desktop.
    • Enable Remote Play on the PS4 under Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings.
  3. Sign In to PlayStation Network on the Desktop:
    • Use the same credentials as the PS4.
  4. Connect the PS4 Controller:
    • Plug the controller into the desktop using a USB cable or Bluetooth (if supported).
  5. Play Your PS4:
    • Launch Remote Play on the desktop to stream and control the PS4.

Limitations:

  • Using a capture card introduces latency, which may not be ideal for fast-paced gaming.
  • Remote Play requires a strong, stable network connection for a smooth experience.

If you want a monitor with HDMI input for better performance, I would suggest using a dedicated external monitor or TV for your PS4.

Kind Regards,
