Hi, I'm trying to play this game called Valorant. But I keep getting this UEFI Secure Boot verfication error.
I did everything to try and fix it. Val support told me to contact HP support to see if there's a more up to date BIOS for my computer. Here's some of the information that will be useful.

currently have OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0014 with 84fd motherboard. BIOS version I currently have is the F.35 one.  Believe it came out in late 2023 so not sure if there's a more recent one that came out.

Hi:

Looking at the support page, your PC has the latest BIOS update installed.

Since HP has not released any BIOS updates in over two years for your PC, I doubt that it will get another one.

But keep checking monthly to see if there is a newer version released.

Hi @Jakob7777,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you see UEFI Secure Boot verification error when trying to play Valorant, it's important to ensure that your system BIOS is up to date. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Verify Secure Boot Settings

  • Restart your PC → press F10 (HP BIOS setup).
  • Go to Security → Secure Boot Configuration.
  • Ensure Secure Boot = Enabled and Legacy Support = Disabled.
  • Save changes and reboot.

Update Windows & Drivers

  • Install the latest Windows 11 updates.
  • Update your GPU drivers (NVIDIA/AMD) Valorant checks driver signatures under Secure Boot.

Reinstall Valorant

  • Riot’s anti‑cheat (Vanguard) enforces Secure Boot.
  • Uninstall Vanguard → reboot → reinstall Valorant.
  • This refreshes its verification with your BIOS settings.

Check for BIOS Updates:

  • On the product page, look for a section related to drivers and updates.
  • Check if there is a more recent BIOS update available than the one currently installed on your system.

Take care and have an amazing day!
