I was in need of clearing storage on my PC and accidentally offloaded the driver for my keyboard. I am not able to update, uninstall or disable the driver. I can not use my keyboard only the mouse. What can I do or where can I find the software to install and use my keyboard on the desktop

@OliviaBPS, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If you accidentally removed the driver for your keyboard and can no longer use it, here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue:
Check Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Under Keyboards, if you see a yellow warning icon, this indicates a driver issue.
- Right-click the keyboard entry and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software. If your keyboard is not listed, move to the next step.
HP Support Assistant:
- If you have an HP computer, you may use the HP Support Assistant to check for any available updates for your keyboard driver:
- Go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Support Assistant.
- Open HP Support Assistant and click the Updates tab to check for available drivers and updates.
Use an External Keyboard:
- Connect an external keyboard if possible via USB, which might install basic drivers automatically and allow you to perform driver recovery actions.
Reinstall Using Recovery Manager:
- If you have HP Recovery Manager installed:
- Go to Start > All Programs > PC Help & Tools > Recovery Manager.
- Choose Advanced options > Reinstall hardware drivers, and select the keyboard driver to reinstall.
Windows Update:
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates. Sometimes missing drivers are provided through Windows Update.
Reboot Your Computer:
- Sometimes a simple restart can force the system to re-detect hardware and install the necessary drivers.
