HP doesn't have driver updates for Hp all-in-one 24-f0034 desktop PC's running Windows 11. They have updates for Windows 10. Microsoft tech support said to contact HP to get a work around. So today was day 2 of no keyboard for my elderly father, any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Dave450c,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the keyboard issues. Let's try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. Here are some steps you can take.
Check Physical Connections:
- If you're using a wired keyboard, ensure that it's connected securely to the USB port.
- For wireless keyboards, check if the batteries are properly inserted, and the wireless receiver is plugged into a functional USB port.
Try Different USB Ports:
- If you're using a wired keyboard, try plugging it into different USB ports on your HP all-in-one PC.
Update USB Drivers:
- Although HP might not have specific Windows 11 drivers, you can try updating the USB drivers. To do this, go to the "Device Manager" (you can search for it in the Start menu), find the USB controllers section, right-click on each entry, and choose "Update driver."
BIOS/UEFI Update:
- Check if there's a BIOS/UEFI update available for your HP all-in-one PC. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.
Windows Update:
- Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is fully updated. Microsoft regularly releases updates that may include fixes for compatibility issues.
Check for Conflicting Software:
- Some third-party software or drivers may conflict with the keyboard. Try booting into Safe Mode (press F8 during startup) and see if the keyboard works there. If it does, there might be conflicting software causing the issue.
System Restore:
- If the issue started recently, you could perform a system restore to revert your system to a point where the keyboard was working. This won't affect your personal files.
Test with Another Computer:
- If possible, test the keyboard on another computer or test a different keyboard on the HP all-in-one PC. This can help determine if the issue is with the keyboard itself or the computer.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be an underlying hardware problem with the USB ports or the motherboard of the HP all-in-one PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
