Language Pack

I have several language packs installed and can type in some of them but not all. Ex; I have German language pack installed but can't type in German after selecting German keyboard in notepad?

I understand you've installed the German language pack on your HP All-in-One PC but are having trouble typing in German even after selecting the German keyboard layout in Notepad, 

here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check Keyboard Layout Settings:

• Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language.
• Under Preferred languages, ensure that German is listed.
• Click on German and select Options. Make sure the correct keyboard layout (like "German (Germany)") is added.

2. Change Input Method:

• You can switch between keyboard layouts quickly by pressing Windows + Spacebar. Ensure you have the German layout selected.

3. Restart Notepad:

• Sometimes, simply closing and reopening Notepad after changing the keyboard layout may resolve the issue.

4. Check Regional Settings:

• Go to Control Panel > Clock and Region > Region.
• Ensure that the Formats tab is set to German or the desired language.

5. Update Windows:

• Make sure your Windows is up to date. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.

6. Test in Another Application:

• Try typing in another application like Microsoft Word or a web browser to see if the issue is specific to Notepad.

7. Reinstall the Language Pack:

• If the above steps don’t work, you might want to remove and then reinstall the German language pack:
  • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language.
  • Remove German and then add it again.
