OMEN by HP 40L Gaming Desktop PC GT21-1000i (6C1R0AV)

So no matter what I do in the lighting tab or the studio the lights around the fan will not turn off. I had to put a heavy towel over the tower so I could watch a movie without that bright light distracting me. The other lights come one randomly and they won’t turn back off. I’m really really hating this pc.

It's frustrating that the lights around your PC's fan won't turn off, even after trying settings in the lighting tab and software. To address this:

  • Use your PC manufacturer's software (like Alienware Command Center) to adjust lighting settings.
  • Check for physical controls on your PC case to manually turn off lights, if available.
  • Review software settings for any presets or overrides that might be causing the issue.
  • Consider contacting customer support for further assistance or repairs if the problem persists.

The manufacturer’s software is the issue. The lights are all turned off in the lighting tabs and still come on and stay on anyway. I actually removed some of the parts that light up and will try to unplug the lights from the motherboard? I’m thinking that’s the only way to get them to stay off. HP’s customer support didn’t know what to do either. I’m thinking I will just keep the towel over the front of it.
