I ran the hard drive diagnostics and it failed with ID 9GBQXK-74GA6Q-MFPM61-619U03. I tried to launch the recovery mode by pressing F11 after restarting but the menu for recovery did not appear; the PC continued with “attempting repairs “ sequence which doesn’t appear to do anything. I had exchanged HDD with another one from same PC. Thanks

I understand that the hard drive is not working.
According to the failure code, the issue with the hard drive. The part has to be replaced.
I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.
Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.
1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
