Example: Pavilion 6430F
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently updated my MS Office Home and Business package  to the 2019 version 64 bit and verified that in the software. However, when MS issues an update to the package, it send the 32 bit versions and for office packages I don't even have, like Visio and Publisher.  Wondering if this is a registry issue or something actually from Microsoft.  I previously had Office 2013, but it was still the 64 bit version.

My version of Windows 10 is Pro 64 bit

Microsoft office is 2019.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

HP does not own MS Office Product. You have to ask Microsoft. Please use the following forums

Right. No argument. But so often we users get answers from MS that just don't work. So, and because this forum is usually really accurate, I thought perhaps another HP user may have had a similar experience and could shed some light on this issue. True it isn't an HP problem, but, like good friends sitting around the coffee table talking about their experiences, maybe someone could shed some light on it.

I did discover, while looking through the registry, carefully I might add, that there are numerous entries pertaining to MS Office software I do not own any longer and should have been deleted. I presume that is where the issue is generating.  I will continue to research  other sources to find out how to clean out the registry without creating chaos on my computer.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate that you took time to at least read my post.

Best Regards.

Sounds to me like registry corruption that causes MS to think you have ProPlus or Enterprise edition -- as the Home & Business editions only has Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

You probably would have to remove all the MS Office components and reinstall 2019 from scratch.

I think MS has an Office "cleaner" routine that does this -- but it's been a long time since I've done this, so they might not provide it anymore.
