Messages from HP Assistant don't delete.  They only archive and keep coming back sometimes within three weeks, and sometimes after 9 months.  How do I delete the "Archived" messages.  This is very annoying.  Thanks

Make sure you have the latest version of the HPSA.

Possibly 9.20.22.0 or later

It is possible the messages are coming from a remote system or device that you do not need to monitor.  If so, then delete the device from the HPSA.  You can delete unwanted devices by clicking on your profile name an selecting "profile". then click the "X" to remove.

All my messages have been archived for 2 months both local and remote and none have re-appeared as "new message"

What is a typical "new message"?  Does it come from a local device or a remote one?

As @Prométhée write, there is no way to remove archives messages.

I suspect that uninstalling HPSA will remove messages but they will simply re-appear as new messages when HPSA is re-installed.

The problem you reported is that the archived messages are re-appearing as new messages.  Is that correct?

If a message is "your printer xxx needs firmware update yyy" then I suspect that message may keep reappearing until the firmware is updated.

If you updated printer xxx to firmware version yyy but you are still getting that message I am afraid there is not much you can do about it.    That happened to me for about a year before a driver update to my HP-CM1415 printer fixed the problem.

hi

indeed @BeemerBiker   tried, several times
I don't actually use hpsa, but only to help here, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times, and the messages are sent again
I repeat to each user, to take advantage of the tab, to "give his opinion", in order to report each problem
