Hi @Sivansu,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We’re really sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve experienced after your laptop was locked and required a factory reset. We understand how frustrating it can be to lose access to Microsoft Office, especially when it was included with your HP laptop at the time of purchase. We’ll do our best to guide you in the right direction.

In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Sign in to Your Microsoft Account
    • Go to the Microsoft account website and sign in using the email address you normally use.
    • Check Services & subscriptions to see if Office Home & Student is listed.
    • If it appears there, you should be able to reinstall Office directly from that page.
  2. Check Office Activation on the Device
    • Open any Office app (for example, Word).
    • Go to Account and confirm which email address is shown for activation.
    • Make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account used originally.
  3. Reinstall Office
    • If Office is installed but not activating, uninstall it from Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
    • Restart the PC, then reinstall Office after signing in to your Microsoft account.

I hope this helps.
