Hi @Mks79,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If Microsoft Office applications on your HP laptop are going blank, it could be due to several issues. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check for Updates:
- Ensure both Windows and Office are up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. In Office, go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
Repair Office:
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Find Microsoft Office in the list, right-click on it, and select Change. Choose Quick Repair first. If the issue persists, try Online Repair.
Check Add-Ins:
- Open an Office application, go to File > Options > Add-Ins, and manage your add-ins. Disable any suspicious or unnecessary add-ins and restart the application.
Disable Hardware Acceleration:
- Open an Office application, go to File > Options > Advanced, scroll down to the Display section, and check the box for Disable hardware graphics acceleration.
Run Office in Safe Mode:
- Press Ctrl while launching the Office application to start it in Safe Mode. This can help determine if the issue is related to add-ins or other settings.
Reinstall Office:
- If none of the above steps work, consider uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft Office.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
