My HPSA has two problems:1) it tells me "Your LENOVO 90BG003JUS is not a supported HP device." - doesn't make sense to me as I thought LENOVO was HP.

2) my HPSA can not tell me the status of my printer.

You are welcome.

HPSA is not meant to support not-HP devices.

Uninstalling the app is best, I think.

Your printer doesn't need HPSA -- you can manage the device directly using the Software and applications for that device.

and

If the printer is on your network...

EWS > HP Document / How-to

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Examples - EWS

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Tools > Supply Status

Optional (at bottom of webpage) > Print Printer Status Report

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Tools > Reports > Usage Report

To Print the Report:  EWS > Tools > Printer Reports > Print Usage Report

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Tools > Utilities > Print Quality Toolbox

Make sure the HPSA is completely uninstalled:

  • If you tried to install the legacy version of the HPSA, do check / uninstall the software from Programs and Features
  • App version of the HPSA would be located in Settings > Apps > Installed Apps

Next,

  • Run Windows Updates >> If you wish to do so, check for Optional updates

Next,

  • Switch Fast Start OFF
  • Shut down the system
  • Restart computer
  • Download and install HPSA

Thanks for the dual response.  after a little research I realized that IBM had the Lenovo relationship, not HP - so thanks for the link and clearing up my misperception.  Explains why the HPSA does not "support" my desktop :).

I will try the uninstall as stipulated and see if that works.

appreciate you taking the time to help me out.
