As stated before, my lights keep flashing white when I open most applications and going to the omen hub doesn't solve anything. I have the OMEN by HP 40L Gaming Desktop PC GT21-0000i. Nothing I do solves the problem for long.

Hi @032626232326 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
If the RGB lights on your OMEN by HP 40L Gaming Desktop PC (model GT21-0000i) are reverting to white and flashing non-stop, it could be due to various reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
-
OMEN Command Center:
- Use the OMEN Command Center software that is often pre-installed on OMEN desktops. Open the Command Center and check the RGB lighting settings. Ensure that the desired color and lighting effects are selected.
-
Update OMEN Command Center:
- Make sure that you have the latest version of the OMEN Command Center installed. Check the HP support website for any available updates for the software.
-
Reconfigure RGB Settings:
- Access the RGB settings through the OMEN Command Center and reconfigure the lighting to your preference. Save the settings and see if the issue persists.
-
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can sometimes cause issues with RGB lighting. Visit the official website of the graphics card manufacturer or use Windows Update to check for driver updates.
-
Check for Firmware/BIOS Updates:
- Verify if there are any firmware or BIOS updates available for your desktop on the HP support website. Sometimes, updates can address compatibility issues or bugs that may affect the RGB lighting.
-
Reset BIOS Settings:
- If the RGB lighting is controlled through the BIOS settings, you might try resetting the BIOS to default settings. However, be cautious when doing this, as it can affect other system configurations.
If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it's advisable to contact HP support for assistance. They may provide specific guidance based on the model of your desktop and any known issues.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
