Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am able to sign in with my userid but after that my screen is completely black and I have a personal settings bar open that displays windows are not responding  somebody please help

From what I read, it seems the windows login screens shows up but once you log in something goes wrong and the system hangs.

 

First try pressing ESC and running diagnostics for spot hardware problems.  If the HP diagnostics says all is OK then possibly faulty software:.  If problems, come back and post the details else ...

 

As explained below, select "from windows login" and follow instructions to boot into SAFE mode.

Once in safe mode use the command prompt to run "sfc /scannow"

Hopefully it will restore windows files.
