Hello:

I just purchased an HP Desktop M02-0234. I'm able to connect the wireless mouse but not the wireless keyboard. Can someone provide me with instructions?

Hi @KD501,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Congrats on your new HP Desktop M02-0234! If your wireless mouse connects but the wireless keyboard doesn’t, it’s usually because the keyboard needs to be paired correctly or the receiver isn’t detecting it. Here’s how to fix it:

1. Check the Wireless Receiver

  • Most HP desktops with wireless peripherals use a USB dongle (often stored inside the mouse or keyboard packaging).
  • Make sure the dongle is plugged into a USB port on your desktop.

2. Power On the Keyboard

  • Insert fresh batteries into the keyboard.
  • Turn on the keyboard using the power switch (usually on the back or side).

3. Pair the Keyboard

  • If the keyboard has a Connect button, press it for a few seconds.
  • If it’s Bluetooth-enabled:
    • On your PC, go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Add Device.
    • Select Bluetooth and choose your keyboard from the list.

4. Use HP Link-5 Technology (if supported)

5. Update Drivers

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

If both the mouse and keyboard are connected to one receiver, make sure both devices are powered on before pairing. You can also try to update Bluetooth or USB drivers using HP Support Assistant.
