OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I own an HP Omen 30L desktop (AMD platform). My system’s TPM 2.0 shows a Manufacturer Version of 3.84.0.5. Activision has documented that all AMD TPM firmware versions ending in .0.x fail TPM attestation and cause issues running Call of Duty (Warzone/Black Ops). They state this requires a firmware update from the system manufacturer.

I have already checked for BIOS updates on HP’s website, but none are available for my system. Could you please provide me with a BIOS update (or beta firmware) that includes the corrected AMD TPM firmware (version 3.x.2.x or higher)?

I've had HP guys come into another post and close it as an acceptable solution. I'm sure I'm not the only one upset about this. I shouldn't have to upgrade my motherboard when the current one just needs an update. I feel HP is just giving me the finger about this....

First of all, hello !

Are you experiencing issues when running Call of Duty (Warzone/Black Ops) ?

Can you tell me which version of BIOS is currently installed?

Here is the latest BIOS version available for your system: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/swdetails/omen-30l-desktop-pc-gt13-1000a/model/2100404775/swIte... (version F.13 Rev.A)

And here is the complete page of HP updates for your system: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/omen-30l-desktop-pc-gt13-1000a/model/2100404775

Otherwise, if anyone else here is an expert on TPM updates (if they exist), they are welcome to speak up.

3.x.0.x

The 0 is the issue. It needs to be a 2 or higher to play COD/Warzone due to the new requirements by Activision.

Latest available bios of f.36 installed (August 2025) and the TPM version is: 3.94.0.5 (and as such impacted for ANY GAME requiring TPM attestation)

AMD requests the motherboard manufacturers roll out fw updates that have been available since 2022 (!) : https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/pa-420.html

Whats going on over there @ HP ? Can we get ANY information ? Are we dumping the mobos entirely from here on in? I mean LOL already...

@theghost123,

Can you tell me which version of BIOS is currently installed on your system, not TPM version ?

Abstract

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) attestation for AMD platforms with ASP firmware TPM might fail with error code 0x80070490 on Windows® systems. This issue is resolved with later versions of AMD firmware. Consult with your motherboard manufacturer and firmware release notes to determine which firmware versions contain the update.

Some applications may have features disabled if TPM attestation fails.

  • Example: Gamers may be unable to compete in online cash tournaments.

Issue Details

AMD resolved this issue in TPM firmware updates provided to motherboard manufacturers in 2022.

Run “Powershell.exe -Command Get-TPM” to determine if the system is impacted by this issue.

  • Motherboards with AMD fTPM 3.*.0.* are impacted, where ‘*’ is any number.

You’ve done the right thing by digging into this the AMD fTPM / TPM attestation problem is real and, in most cases, the only proper fix is a firmware/BIOS update from the system maker (HP). Below I summarize what’s known, what you can check right away, and exactly what to do next. I’ll also explain realistic outcomes and next steps if HP doesn’t deliver an updated BIOS.

Is there hp is best for capcut app?

theghost123,

"F13" is the last bios version for you : https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/omen-30l-desktop-pc-gt13-1000a/model/2100404775

Now it is up to HP to provide a TPM update for AMD products affected by this issue.
