Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently selected "use always" for opening svg and eps files on my laptop (HP Envy) How do I remove that default and change to a better app ? And yes I have tried right-clicking on the icon, which only gives me the option to "Open" not "Open as" / and even with open as, does this change the default for all files?

@Amy_Arts, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Press Win + I to open Settings.

Go to Apps > Default apps.

Scroll down and click Choose defaults by file type.

Scroll to .svg and .eps in the list.

Click the current app shown next to each file type.

Select a new app from the list or click More apps > Look for another app on this PC to browse manually.

Confirm your selection.

This will change the default app for all files with that extension. Repeat the same steps for both .svg and .eps.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
