OMEN by HP 870-224
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a new HP OMEN 870-224 Desktop  and a new Dell monitor SE2417HG with VGA and HDMI ports.

I used a HDMI cable (up to 4K and here is the link where I purchased the cable: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dynex-6-4k-ultra-hd-hdmi-cable-black/7525078.p?skuId=7525078) to connect the HDMI port on the computer and the HDMI port on the monitor. But the monitor said no signal from HDMI. Why? And How can I fix the problem? Should I go and buy an HDMI to VGA cable to connect the HDMI port on the computer and VGA port on the monitor?

Can anyone help please? Thanks!

Solved the problem by reading the replys of MKazi under this post: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Desktops/Dual-Monitor-Connection-via-HDMI/td-p/6145715.

I originally connected the HDMI port of the integrated  video card which turns out to be disabled. And Now I use the HDMI port of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (3 GB)  and everything works out.

I had the same problem but on the back of your pc,  the graphic card in the back has an hdmi port (above the bottom ones). You have to plug in your monitor into the hdmi or display ports where the graphic card is at. I hope this helps.
