- No output from usb flash drive when i plug it in the moniter

HP compaq LA2006x is my moniter. how do i get output from USB ? i plug usb in, nothing displays. There is no option to get output from the usb flash drive. it only displays vga, display port and dvi. no option for USB drive.

Reading the manual, link, explains it.
On the back of the monitor (page 8 you will see a USB B port. That is connected to an existing USB A port on the computer. The 2 USB ports on the side of the monitor (page 14) are extensions of that cable. It is just a means to attach a USB device, rather than crawling behind the computer. The cable is a USB A to USB B (printer cable).
